Bet the guy who filmed this feels like a total doofus for questioning Tom Wright’s knowledge of the Bible. http://bible.cc/mark/13-32.htm

Only in eternity will we reach a complete understading of God and His Word

I think that guy was being a “doofus” intentionally.

I am a huge admirer of Tom Wright. I was a bit disappointed with this “off the cuff” response. He has prolifically written on Mark 13 as being ONLY about the destruction of Jerusalem and NOT about the Second Coming. His answer deconstructs everything he has written on the subject. He was my key source in a paper on the subject, posted on my blog here: http://www.thepangeablog.com/articles/unpublished-papers/signs-of-the-times-a-study-of-mark-13/

O, well… Wright is still al-Wright in my book!

Was it me or did the cameraman seem a bit smug in this video?

Not trying to stir the pot. But, what is the reason for any Christian to intentionally be smug? Shouldn’t we be humble and saddened for those who have been deceived by end-time rapture predictions?
